Learning the art of Iranian diplomacy

"England has nothing.  They are a bunch of thick people ruled by a Mafia.  The young lad in charge now is even more stupid than his predecessor."

Interesting comments there from Mohammad Reza Rahimi, first Vice President of Iran, a nation which has this week come under fire for torturing a woman into confessing to her husband's murder and as a resulted was sentenced to death by stoning.

I'm not sure if the Vice President is judging his entire assessment of the English people just on Jeremy Kyle, but what seems 'stupid' to me is using a pretext of 'religion' to justify a brutal, justice-void rule of law which subscribes 99 public lashes for two unrelated males who sleep "unnecessarily" under the same blanket – even without any sexual contact, and even worse, public lashings for young boys who have been raped but whom a religious court have decided "enjoyed" the experience.

But maybe that's just me.
